The simple answer: by not rejecting us. Jesus did not reject those who were culturally despised. He went to them. He talked with them. He helped them. He blessed them. There was the tax collector, the woman with many husbands, the diseased, the disabled, the young and the poor. Jesus accepts us as sinners. How much more should we accept…and not reject the homeless?
