As civility in our political discourse continues to unravel, it becomes increasingly difficult for many of us to engage and contribute our voice to the dialogue. Apathy is tempting. The voices can be as loud and extreme as they are many. What possible good is there in adding our own? But words spoken, or action taken, with discernment and in obedience are never wasted, regardless of any observable impact. The cross appeared futile and a colossal failure until it wasn\u2019t. Have we grown weary in doing the good God has called us to do?<\/p>\n

Breath prayers are a form of contemplative prayers linked to the rhythm of your breath. Breath prayer has been practiced in the church for thousands of years and is a 1 to 2 sentence prayer you silently pray 5-10 times consecutively throughout the day as you inhale and exhale.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a centering prayer for our minds and hearts to remember God within all circumstances. Breath prayer is a simple yet transformative spiritual practice!<\/p>\n

An example of a breath prayer is,\u00a0\u201cFather, you are Holy\u201d<\/em>\u00a0(prayed silenty as you inhale),\u00a0\u201cHelp me be holy\u201d<\/em>\u00a0(prayed silently as you exhale).<\/p>\n
