Individuals or parties having or hoping to achieve power or priority in their policies face off in opposition against each other, and much of this can be helpful. And yet, as Christ-followers we ought to have, as Paul writes in Philippians 2, \u201cthe same mindset as Christ Jesus\u201d in our relationships with one another. This is especially true with those we are \u201copposing.\u201d He\u2019s speaking here of Christ\u2019s humility. Nothing is more critical in our pursuit of power\u2013\u2013the sole aim of politics\u2013\u2013than humility. It matters not whether we are the one personally pursuing political position or supporting those who do. Breath prayer has been practiced in the church for thousands of years and is a 1 to 2 sentence prayer you silently pray 5-10 times consecutively throughout the day as you inhale and exhale.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a centering prayer for our minds and hearts to remember God within all circumstances.
