Community Groups

Alright, you’ve taken the next step in our You Have a Part to Play journey and have expressed interest in one of our community groups. You’re on the right track! But what’s the big deal about a community group? Good question. In general, our community groups are how we seek to connect you into relationships with others who are seeking to live life in a way that helps us better know Jesus and introduces new people to who Jesus is as well. God said it wasn’t good for us to be alone. The reason for that is twofold: First, we can never fulfill our purpose of reflecting our Triune God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) to the world as isolated individuals. He is a perfectly loving community and therefore to reflect who He is to the world requires we be part of a loving community as well. Second, you can never fully experience God’s grace, mercy and love apart from relationships with others. It is through the unconditional love of others that we experience a tangible knowledge of Christ’s unconditional love for us.

More specifically speaking, however, for the You Have a Part to Play campaign this Fall, our community groups are the vehicle through which playing our part will make a lasting impact not just in our lives, not just in the lives of those in our groups, but in our city and around the world as well. In our community group settings we will discuss the brokenness in our culture in the six different topics and talk about how we collectively can play our part in bringing healing and wholeness to those parts of our city. We will also be planning and executing a group project that directly confronts and seeks to do something about the brokenness in one of those six areas. It’s one thing to sit in a church building on a Sunday morning and be challenged with a sermon. It’s quite another thing to sit in a living room, look one another in the eyes, and ask the question, “So what are we going to do about it?”

If you want to be part of a group that’s doing that, then take the next step in this journey and click the button below to get connected. It is true…God has indeed reconciled us back to Himself through Christ Jesus, and He has given us this ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5). So, what are you waiting for?
